A central objective and concept for the ITFSP is to ensure that effective Global Sustainable Product Networks (GSPNs) are established for the most important product sectors and for cross-sectoral issues (e.g. compliance), transforming the market for better performing, sustainable goods and services.
The ITFSP's aspiration is that, by encouraging GSPNs, the Task Force will be able to provide a helpful framework for existing expert communities of practice (open networks of stakeholders including experts and policy makers) to be more effective and efficient in influencing higher-level policy processes, in becoming better connected and in accessing the available sources of funding.
Through the GSPNs, the ITFSP will encourage scrutiny, challenge and constructive contributions to the work of the Task Force.
