To encourage the shift towards more sustainable consumption of products, the International Task Force for Sustainable Products (ITFSP) will aim to:
- identify where information sharing and practical co-operation will lead to better results, for example, in developing policy roadmaps, labels and standards;
- map and identify the scope and priorities for action;
- stimulate and support the development of Global Sustainable Product Networks and co-operative projects to achieve this goal;
- invite governments and other institutions to provide practical support to GSPNs and specific co-operative initiatives.
- report progress to Governments, for example, through Marrakech and G8 processes.
